:,ActualValueFromSolar:null},{QuestionName:Job Summary,AnswerValue:JOB OVERVIEWu003cbr/u003eThe Division of General Internal Medicine (DGIM) at San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG) is recruiting for the position of an Academic Program Manager to serve the “Healing-Centered and Trauma-Informed” Curriculum Project funded by California’s Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Aware Initiative out of the Surgeon General’s Office. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe “Aspire to Realize Improved Safety and Empowerment” (ARISE), UCSF in collaboration with Flourish Agenda, Inc. have been funded to co-develop and co-delivery a “Healing-Centered and Trauma-Informed” Curriculum for Medi-Cal providers serving diverse populations of people who are uninsured and publicly insured through Medi-Cal. The Co-Directors/Principal Investigators (PI) of this project have decades of experience in building the capacity of diverse individuals and organizations to prevent trauma and promote healing from traumatic experiences. To prevent trauma and toxic stress, healthcare systems must not only partner with community-based organizations and other institutions but also adopt policies, programs and practices that promote equity and social justice. Co-facilitation of ACEs Aware training by UCSF healthcare providers and Flourish Agenda, Inc. staff will engage diverse Medi-Cal providers and staff in re-imagining healthcare that not only reduces toxic stress but also uplifts culturally resonant healing for children and adults from diverse communities. Ultimately, the project is designed so that the training will be adaptable for use within healthcare, community social service organizations, and other types of organizations. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSpecifically, the “Healing-Centered and Trauma-Informed” Curriculum will develop, pilot, and disseminate a healing-centered, trauma-informed training curriculum and facilitation guide for the statewide ACES Aware Initiative covering multiple relevant topics to prepare and transform community safety-net clinics and all Medi-Cal providers to be early adopters of the initiative. The project has three phases: (1) In the first 8 months of the project, the focus will be on development of a robust evidence-based modular curriculum and facilitation guide; (2) In the second 3 months, the curriculum will be piloted in partnership with 1 Bay Area safety-net clinic to inform final curricular revisions; and (3) Finally, the curriculum will be introduced to 200 Medi-Cal providers via webinars. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe curriculum will be interactive, experiential, case-based, person-centered, infused with a deep understanding of cultural assets, and taught by a culturally diverse team. Additionally, the project will engage a team of inter-disciplinary training facilitators (Flourish Agenda, Inc. facilitators and UCSF healthcare providers/staff facilitators) to provide the optimal training for participating clinics. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eInformed by current epidemiologic predictions about the course of this pandemic and the neuroscience about remote learning, we will design a curriculum that is modular and can be utilized for remote or in-person learning. The curriculum will also address how to provide healing-centered and trauma-informed care with patients in-person and/or over telephone/video medicine. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe part-time Academic Program Manager for the Healing-Centered, Trauma-Informed Curriculum (HCTIC) Project will be responsible to coordinate and assist with curriculum development and delivery, search and analyze qualitative and quantitative research to inform curriculum, engage and interview key informants, facilitate partnerships with safety net clinics, manage a clinic pilot, administer and coordinate the project evaluation, and provide administrative oversight of the project including collaborating with state granting agency to ensure timely reporting, invoicing and meeting of deadlines. The Academic Program Manager will regularly interface with healthcare staff and community partners within and outside of UCSF. Thus, the Academic Program Manager must have excellent communication skills in working with diverse stakeholders.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWork location: REMOTE (home campus - ZSFG).u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eu003cbu003ePlease note: This is a part-time contract position ending on 6/30/21. u003c/bu003eu003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eDIVISION OF GENERAL INTERNAL MEDICINE / ZSFGu003cbr/u003eThe UCSF Division of General Internal Medicine (DGIM) at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG) delivers innovative, comprehensive and complex primary medical care to San Francisco’s vulnerable patients; carries out highly impactful translational research focused on generating new knowledge to improve the health of vulnerable populations; engages in meaningful policy work focused on reducing health disparities and ensuring access to care; and trains the next generation of physician leaders and researchers in the care of vulnerable and underserved populations.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eABOUT UCSF u003cbr/u003eThe University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is a leading university dedicated to promoting health worldwide through advanced biomedical research, graduate-level education in the life sciences and health professions, and excellence in patient care.
