Humana's Neighborhood Center in Baton Rouge, LA is looking for an Activity Coordinator to join the team working part-time. The Neighborhood Center, located on Airline Highway, is a facility that offers a unique calendar of special events, programs and activities designed to help improve physical and mental health for Humana members and their guest.

Responsibilities

As the Activity Coordinator, you will schedule the Wellness Center meeting rooms and fitness rooms for pre-programmed classes, activities and/or events.

Plan, promote and coordinate programs to provide members with a variety fitness and social activities
Greet members and conduct outreach calling


Responsibilities

An Activity Coordinator develops and provides activities of games, arts & crafts, music, and other recreational activities for the Neighborhood Center in order to ensure community members have a quality experience when at the Center. Position requires a high commitment to service excellence. Enables the communication in and throughout the staff and Center members. The Activity Coordinator is a part-time position; schedule is 8:30-2:30pm Monday-Friday.

Required Qualifications


Minimum of 1 years in a previous administrative role or related experience in a professional environment
A valid driver license and dependable transportation necessary
Experience in a patient facing role involving structured and planned activities
Cheerful, pleasant, knowledgeable and professional demeanor
Ability to work independently under general instructions and with a team
Strong attention to detail; ability to manage many details related to data entry, scheduling, follow-up requests and file maintenance
Computer skills -including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent time management, and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively/professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization


Preferred Qualifications


Degree in a Health related field
Previous work with vulnerable adults or the geriatric population
Experience in Community health outreach programs
Nutrition knowledge
Experience as a Personal Trainer and/or performing wellness and recreational activities
Health Plan experience, including Medicare/Medicaid
Electronic Medical Record (ECW) knowledge/experience

This position is on-site at the Airline Highway Neighborhood Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Part-time position; schedule is 8:30-2:30pm Monday-Friday.

Covid-19 Vaccine/Testing Requirement

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Every associate and contractor who work inside a Humana facility or in the field, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a daily health screening questionnaire.
