Job Details:

This position is responsible to diagnose issues, adjust, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position will work in all areas of the Service Center. Must have knowledge to repair forklifts, pallet jacks, and fire fans. Must have knowledge to repair trucks, rebuild transmissions, rear ends, and motors. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, twisting, turning, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting and reaching are required in all areas. Lifting 40 pounds is required in many areas. Must be able to tolerate climates ranging from very cold to very hot and very dusty. Must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders. Must have 1-3 years general mechanic experience. Position will be for 2nd shift (nights).

This facility may work 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday. Scheduling can include some major holidays. Must be able to obtain a company license. Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules (Lockout/Tagout etc.) Must be able to comply with OSHA standards. Must be able to read, write, and have basic knowledge of math. Must have good hand- eye coordination. Must be able to furnish all small tools.
