Are a senior academic whose focus is on innovation in digital technologies and their use in education? Are you passionate about the future of learning and teaching? The Library and Academic Development (LAD) Directorate are looking to recruit a part-time senior lecturer to the position of Associate Head of Academic Development. The department of Academic Development is a newly formed area, with responsibility for providing teaching, training, resources and support across the University community of staff and students. You will work in conjunction with colleagues across the department, including in Student Learning Services, the English Language Centre, Digital Education and Educational Development, as well as other key staff across the institution. This role will be responsible for horizon scanning to enhance teaching and learning and advising on pedagogy and digital development across academic staff, professional services staff and students. The post would be appropriate if you are an experienced lecturer who is highly motivated and passionate about digital education. You will have the ability to enhance the student learning experience through varied pedagogic innovation and supporting the University’s strategic objectives and priorities. Your network of digital champions across the sector will support the sharing of innovative practice, allowing programmes to integrate digital technologies for both in person and blended delivery. The role can be offered as a secondment for 3 years. This role will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check plus a Children’s Barred List check.
