Description
The Senior Vendor Management Professional (PT) works as liaison between vendors and organization. The Senior Vendor Management Professional (PT) work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
Reviews and negotiates terms of vendor contracts and communicates with vendors regarding day-to-day matters. Builds and maintains positive relationship with vendors and functional business owners to monitor and influence vendor performance. Researches invoice and contractual issues and resolves discrepancies. Influences department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex-to-complex issues regarding technical approach for project components. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments; requires minimal direction. Understands and measures advanced quantitative relationships, correlations and causations within the vendor operations and between vendor and Humana Government Business operations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Monitor vendor performance, compile and present operational and executive level dashboards and briefings. Assess, monitor, and manage risks related to vendor performance. Influence and align vendor performance with Humana Government Business strategic intents.
Engage with internal business owners to identify and address gaps in vendor management. Facilitate process improvement to achieve operational efficiencies across various vendor responsibilities.
Establish and maintain relationships with key vendor personnel; perform regular site visits; engage in vendor decision making.
Required Qualifications
Our Department of Defense Contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position
Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (eQIP - Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing)
Bachelor's degree
Progressive experience in a health care or health insurance setting
Relationship and alignment building skills to facilitate cooperation among all parties involved
Ability to query and analyze data to monitor and influence outcomes
Experience with summarizing and accumulating data to produce meaningful analysis
Experience with querying data in SQL
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
Reporting experience with Power BI or Tableau
