The newly-formed School of Society and Culture is looking for an exceptional individual to deliver teaching and research in Criminology and Policing. The role involves supporting the delivery of our exciting new degree in Professional Policing, licensed by the College of Policing and taking on its first cohort of students in September 2022. Based within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business, theSchool of Society and Culture is a place of progression in a progressive world. As a member of our academic community, you’ll be expected to contribute to our recognised research strengths. Working holistically across the University, you will be challenged to innovate, collaborate and deliver impactful research contributions as part of a systems thinking approach to addressing today’s global challenges. You will have, or be close to achieving, a PhD in Criminology, or a cognate discipline, with teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be able to contribute to the delivery of the College of Policing’s Pre-join Degree National Policing Curriculum, utilising our new multimillion-pound facilities that are launching in 2022/23, which includes a state-of-the-art crime simulation suite. You will join a dynamic, friendly, and supportive team and work in an energetic multidisciplinary environment that combines Anthropology, Criminology and Sociology and provides opportunities to develop innovative teaching and research across disciplinary boundaries.
