The School of Nursing and Midwifery requires a proactive and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support for a busy team based on the Exeter Infocus campus. Relocation costs and/or travelling expenses are not available for this post. Under the direction of the Programme Administrators and as a member of the team, you will be responsible for the provision of Reception duties, providing the customer focussed service to students and visitors to the School. You will be required to assist in the delivery of a comprehensive, customer focused, integrated, cost effective progressive administrative support, for the Faculty of Health. Through experience each individual will be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment. You will contribute to the administration of the programmes within the School of Nursing and Midwifery and Faculty of Health and seek to enhance the student experience throughout your time with the University of Plymouth. The tasks will include direct contact with staff and students responding to their queries. This will include dealing with student online timesheets, updating of databases, using the student record systems, providing administration for meetings, updating programme documents, as well as providing support for the team. You will have a flexible attitude in an ever changing environment, good organisation skills, IT and keyboard skills and the ability to be flexible and work under pressure. Good communication skills are essential. Minute taking is an advantage. Experience of work in a customer related environment is preferred. The post will currently be located at the Exeter School of Nursing, InFocus Campus, Topsham Road, Exeter but there may be travel to other sites as the role requires. This role will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check plus an Adults’ Barred List check.
